Life before Vincere:

Strained Relationship with the Vendor


Before Vincere, Simon Butler, Director at Mentmore Recruitment used RDB Pro Net (now part of Access Recruitment CRM) for about 7 years. His experience with RDB started when he was previously working at Montash - a leading global technology recruitment partner in UK and Europe - so when he started MentMore, RDB seemed like the natural option.

As the company grew and onboarded new consultants, Simon started getting negative feedback from his team about RDB who had experience using other well-known systems.

"Moving to a new solution was uncharted territory. The longer I procrastinated, the more problems it was causing. Then one day, RDB dropped a 3-year contract for me to sign - which was absolutely absurd - and that was the end of the story."


The search for a partner with a full-range CRM


Simon looked into a bunch of notable CRMs on the market: Jobadder, Bond Adapt, Bullhorn and Vincere.

"The top 3 criteria in our search was firstly, ease of use as we had to train all consultants on the new system. Second was value for money and three, level of service. These were the deciding factors as I’ve had very unpleasant experiences with RDB sales. Then, it was finally down to Bullhorn and Vincere. In terms of capabilities and workflow, Vincere was better. Another reason we chose Vincere was the fact that Bullhorn was too big and mature. In terms of customer service, I wanted an agile partner who could offer a more personal touch. Vincere met all of my criteria - and then some."
